Tóm tắt/Synopsis:
Mẫn, một người lính trẻ trở về từ chiến trường để hoàn thành lời cầu hôn dang dở, vô tình xuống nhầm ga tàu lạ. Khi bị chú chim Lạc cướp mất nhẫn, anh đuổi theo và bước qua những góc phố nhuốm màu bao cấp, gặp gỡ các nhân vật dân gian và hồi ức về chiến tranh hiện về. Khi sắp bắt được chim, Mẫn nhận ra mình đã hy sinh từ lâu. Tại ga tàu năm xưa, chim Lạc hóa thành Ông Tơ – Bà Nguyệt trao nhẫn, và người bạn gái năm xưa – giờ là bà lão – xuất hiện, giúp Mẫn thực hiện lời cầu hôn trong thế giới bên kia.
Man, a young soldier, returns from the battlefield to fulfill a long-postponed proposal, only to step off at the wrong train station. A Lac bird swoops down and steals his engagement ring, forcing Man to chase after it. Just as he is about to catch it, Man realizes that he has been dead all along. At the old train station, the Lac bird transforms into the Matchmaking Deities, Ông Tơ and Bà Nguyệt, and returns the ring to him. The woman he once loved – now an elderly lady – steps off the train. At last, Man is able to take a step forward and fulfill his proposal, even if it is now in the world beyond.
Đạo diễn/Director’s biography:
Đoàn Anh Kiệt là một đạo diễn hoạt hình trẻ, có nhiều kinh nghiệm sản xuất từ phim ngắn tới serie phim dài tập. Một số dự án tiêu biểu mà anh tham gia chỉ đạo sản xuất như: Chimimo (hợp tác cùng Shin-ei Animation, Nhật Bản), series OMG! YES (của Adult Swim, Mỹ), hai series tài liệu của Netflix How to Become a Cult Leader và How to Become a Mob Boss. Hiện nay, anh đang là giảng viên cho lớp 2D Animator tại Art Workout Creative- một đơn vị cung cấp các khóa học vẽ chất lượng Anh còn thường xuyên chia sẻ kinh nghiệm qua các workshop, lớp học hoạt hình, góp phần nuôi dưỡng những tài năng sáng tạo mới tại Việt Nam.
Doan Anh Kiet is a young animation director with extensive experience in producing both short films and long series. Some of his notable projects include Chimimo (in collaboration with Shin-ei Animation, Japan), the series OMG! YES (produced by Adult Swim, USA), and two Netflix documentary series, How to Become a Cult Leader and How to Become a Mob Boss. He is currently a lecturer for the 2D Animator course at Art Workout Creative – an institution providing high-quality drawing and animation programs. He also frequently shares his expertise through workshops and animation classes, contributing to nurturing new creative talents in Viet Nam.
