Đạo diễn Đỗ Thoan sinh năm 1985, tốt nghiệp chuyên ngành Quay phim và Đạo diễn Điện ảnh – Truyền hình Trường Đại học Sân khấu – Điện ảnh Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh. Chị tham gia biên kịch và đạo diễn các phim: Ta còn gửi lửa trong than, Thế giới ngôn ngữ ký hiệu, Lớp mẫu giáo tình thương, Những người giữ hồn đất, Gia đình bác sỹ, Ký ức Điện ảnh, Tre Việt…
