TÓM TẮT/SYNOPSIS:
Bộ phim lấy cảm hứng và hư cấu dựa trên sự kiện lịch sử điển hình trong cuộc kháng chiến chống Mỹ, cứu nước để dựng lại bức tranh bi tráng về cuộc chiến đấu bảo vệ Thành cổ 81 ngày đêm mùa hè đỏ lửa năm 1972. Trục chính của bộ phim xoay quanh cuộc chiến đấu anh dũng, quả cảm của các chiến sĩ chốt giữ Thành cổ mà đại diện tiêu biểu là nhóm chiến sĩ Tiểu đội 1. Nhóm nhân vật Tiểu đội 1 trong bộ phim đã chiến đấu và sát cánh bên nhau. Họ cùng bao chiến sĩ khác tuổi còn xanh đã hòa vào dòng sông Thạch Hãn để góp phần làm nên thắng lợi quyết định sau này trên bàn đàm phán ở Paris.
The film takes inspiration from and fictionalizes a historic event during the Vietnam’s defense against the United States, portraying a powerful and heroic depiction of the 81-day battle to defend the ancient Quang Tri Citadel in the fiery summer of 1972. The story follows the courageous and determined fight of the soldiers stationed at the Citadel, represented by the members of Squad 1. Together, they stand shoulder to shoulder in combat, bound by loyalty and brotherhood. Like many other young soldiers, they ultimately merge into the Thach Han River – their sacrifice paving the way for the decisive victory later achieved at the Paris Peace Talks.
ĐẠO DIỄN/DIRECTOR’S BIOGRAPHY:
Đạo diễn, NSƯT Đặng Thái Huyền tốt nghiệp Thủ khoa đạo diễn, Thạc sĩ Nghệ thuật Điện ảnh – Truyền hình Trường Đại học Sân khấu – Điện ảnh Hà Nội, hiện đang công tác tại Điện ảnh Quân đội nhân dân. Chị là đạo diễn nhiều phim truyện, tiêu biểu là: Mười ba bến nước; Vũ khúc ánh trăng; Đất lành; Mắt biển; Hóa thổ; Bản tình ca màu xanh; Người trở về; Nơi ta không thuộc về; Mưa đỏ và phim tài liệu: Chung sức cho ngày toàn thắng; Để lại mùa xuân; Chiến thắng Tây Bắc; Con đường đã chọn; Hành trình hoá giải… Đạo diễn Đặng Thái Huyền đã giành nhiều giải thưởng Bông Sen Vàng, Bông Sen Bạc, Đạo diễn xuất sắc, Giải B Báo chí toàn quốc và nhiều giải thưởng khác.
Director, Meritorious Artist Dang Thai Huyen graduated as valedictorian in Film Directing and holds a Master’s degree in Film and Television Arts from the Hanoi Academy of Theater and Cinema. She currently works at People’s Army Cinema. Her notable feature films include Border Night; Thirteen Wharves; Moonlight Waltz; Blessed Land; Eyes of the Sea; Into the Earth; Blue Serenade; The Returnee; Where We Don’t Belong; Red Rain; and documentaries Leaving Spring Behind; Joining Forces for Victory Day; Northwest Victory; The Chosen Path; The Journey of Reconciliation, among others. Director Dang Thai Huyen has received multiple prestigious honors including Golden Lotus, Silver Lotus, Best Director, National Press Award (B Prize), and several other commendations for her outstanding contributions to Vietnamese cinema.
